For the past 13 years BAAT has worked extensively in schools throughout the UK providing training
courses for both teachers and pupils, training over 31,000 teachers and raising the grades of over
1,100,000 pupils.
Utilising the principles of Emotional Intelligence and Brain Based Learning we can make a dramatic
difference to your school through our extensive range of teacher training and student focused programmes
and resources.

Through our courses teachers will be encouraged to challenge their existing perceptions and to
leave the sessions with new skills and techniques that they can employ in the classroom. In our work we
have trained over 31,000 teachers who found the unique satisfaction of becoming a great teacher, loved
and respected by all their students. Teaching in an environment where “taking control” and phrases
like “on task” are irrelevant, their students love their lessons and above all love to learn!
Where our training has been fully implemented, the number of exclusions have dramatically
reduced and truancy is also reduced.
The premise that guides our work is that our brains love to learn in the right environment!

For the last 13 years BAAT have been engaged in a global research programme directed to amassing
data into how the brain learns (neural learning). Eight years ago BAAT was asked to apply some of the
research data into developing a programme to help students improve their grades.
Since BAAT commenced this programme in schools, the majority of which were inner city schools,
350,000 students have raised their grades. Again, the majority of the students chosen were students
whose expected grades were E and D. They also came from challenging and under-achieving schools.
We have since developed a range of successful courses that run continuously throughout schools across
the UK.
